In 2019, Tooba decided to explore e-commerce at a time when the field was still emerging locally and required significant self-learning. This transition came during an especially demanding period of her life.
As a mother of three young children, she was managing her household while working two teaching jobs, and simultaneously learning e-commerce independently. This phase demanded exceptional discipline, consistency, and resilience, as acquiring a new professional skill set required balancing time, energy, and responsibility without compromising family or professional commitments.
From Freelancing to Building Operational Expertise
Tooba entered the digital economy as a freelancer, working closely with online sellers and businesses. This hands-on phase allowed her to understand the realities behind online business growth, beyond surface-level success, including operational pressure, compliance requirements, cash flow risks, and the importance of sustainable systems.
Over time, this experience helped her move from execution to strategy, building a strong operational understanding of e-commerce ecosystems.
Leadership Roles in Global E-Commerce Operations
Today, Tooba is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Paramount Elance, an e-commerce services agency, working with both local and international brands across the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. Her responsibilities include brand strategy, E-commerce account management, and guiding businesses through complex global e-commerce ecosystems.
Alongside this role, she also serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a USA-based agency focused on Private Label (PL) operations, contributing at both strategic and operational levels to scaling e-commerce ventures.
Technology, SaaS, and System-Oriented Thinking
In addition to her operational roles, Tooba works as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a SaaS-based program led by the same organization. Her involvement focuses on building tools, frameworks, and decision-support systems for e-commerce sellers.
This exposure has strengthened her understanding of how technology, data, and structured systems can improve scalability, efficiency, and long-term business sustainability.
Mentorship, Training, and Commitment to Learning
Despite her transition into e-commerce and operations, Tooba has remained deeply connected to education and mentorship. Driven by her teaching background, she actively mentors students, freelancers, and women seeking to enter the digital economy.
Her guidance extends beyond income generation, focusing on professional credibility, ethical practices, adaptability, and preparing for a future shaped by AI and rapid technological change.
Balancing Leadership, Family, and Long-Term Vision
Over the years, Tooba’s responsibilities have continued to expand. Now a mother of five, she manages family life while leading teams across two companies, overseeing client portfolios, mentoring individuals, and contributing to multiple long-term initiatives.
These include working on the design of a future-ready hybrid school curriculum in collaboration with educationists, focused on STEAM education, AI literacy, and ethical development grounded in Islamic values, aimed at evolving Pakistan’s traditional education system and nurturing entrepreneurial thinking from an early age.
Strengthening Pakistan’s Freelance and E-Commerce Workforce
Alongside her professional roles, Tooba is working closely with her business partner Irfan Khan, Co-Founder of Paramount Elance, to develop a structured support system for freelancers in Pakistan; a segment of the workforce that often operates without the protections and opportunities associated with traditional employment.
The initiative aims to provide access to platforms, guidance, and support mechanisms that can strengthen productivity, unity, and long-term stability within Pakistan’s growing e-commerce and digital services community.
